Keith Williamson, Head of Finance and Procurement
Keith Williamson is Deputy Administrative Director, Head of Finance and Purchase as well as Technology Transfer. As such he is responsible for the overall management of the EMBL budget and finances, purchasing, grant funding and relations with EMBLEM.
He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and an MBA. Prior to joining EMBL he worked in the British Civil Service in several positions, beginning his career as an Officer of Customs and Excise and subsequently, following a period as lecturer in Finance and Accountancy at the Civil Service College worked at the Department of Employment and then the Central Office of Information from where he resigned his position as Principal Establishment and Finance Officer (Administrative Director) in order to take up the Head of Personnel position at EMBL. Since then he has transferred from Personnel to Finance and been promoted to Deputy Administrative Director.
