Small Angle X-Ray Scattering

Beamline X33 is a bending magnet beamline for biological small-angle scattering on the DORIS Fan D, located in the HASYLAB Hall 3. It uses a fixed wavelength of 1.5 A. The endstation is equipped with a photon counting Pilatus 1M-W pixel detector (67 x 420 mm2) and an additional Pilatus 300K-W pixel detector (33.5 x 254 mm2). The beamline is optimised for low background data collection from macromolecular solutions. A two-detector setup is used to simultaneously collect small and wide angle scattering (SAXS/WAXS) patterns.
