The course, intended for students in the early stages of their research career, will cover over-expression of proteins in prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems, protein purification and characterisation, crystallization techniques and determination of crystal quality. There is no registration fee and accommodation and subsistence are covered for accepted applicants. Scientists from industry will be required to pay a fee of Euro 1500 direct to EMBO. A limited number of bursaries will be available towards covering travel costs and will be awarded competitively. Application is by the web based application form. This will be available from 1st February 2004. The deadline for applications is 15th May 2004. The applications will be considered by a Selection Committee and the result of the selection procedure will be sent to applicants by Email within about three weeks of the closing date. Please note that it is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that a letter of reference is received by the organisers prior to the application deadline.
